FUNCTIONS
The Regulatory Intelligence Specialist is responsible for ensuring the legal compliance of cosmetic products, collecting information from various sources, and anticipating legislative changes that may impact products to minimize risks for customers and the organization. The role involves proactively identifying emerging risks and opportunities, supporting regulatory planning, and improving internal processes and data systems. The specialist will monitor, analyze, and translate global regulatory developments into actionable strategies for the organization.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and analyze regulatory developments across relevant markets, focusing on the EU and key regions.
* Prepare and distribute a quarterly Regulatory Newsletter summarizing updates from industry associations (e.g., Cosmetics Europe, CTPA) and regulatory bodies.
* Assess the impact of new regulations and provide actionable insights.
* Represent Revlon in trade association meetings and task forces, contributing to discussions and aligning with industry standards.
* Compile regulatory intelligence, develop strategic recommendations, and coordinate with senior management on regulatory issues.
* Define regulatory strategies, including risk assessments for substances, and support proactive compliance planning.
* Serve as a regulatory expert, providing guidance to internal stakeholders globally.
* Develop and maintain the regulatory compliance data system (currently SAPEHS) to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and escalate potential enhancements in systems, workflows, or organizational structure.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Biological Sciences).
* At least 3 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the cosmetics industry.
* Advanced proficiency in English.
* IT Skills: Microsoft Office; SAP experience is valuable.
* Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team-oriented, organized, and efficient.
