About the RoleWe are expanding our Linux Systems Administrator team and are looking for an experienced person for the Lead Linux Systems Administrator position.
You WillInstall, Configure and Upgrade Ubuntu and Debian Linux ServerMonitor the systems and the applications, performance analysisManage manual and automated software deploymentsWork with Highly-available and redundant systemsAutomate various tasks through scriptingTroubleshoot Software and Hardware (Debian Linux - Environment)On call availability during night hours on a rotational basisCoach and mentor team members
You Have4+ years of experience in server administration or technical supportStrong knowledge of the Linux operating systems (if it's Debian or Ubuntu, even better)Strong Knowledge of MySQL and InnoDBStrong understanding of the Apache web server, SSL and various configuration scenariosKnow how a network works, what IP is and commonly used communication protocolsUnderstanding of how a Linux Firewall works and be able to build oneKnowledge of intrusion detection/prevention techniquesFluent in speaking and writing English
Nice to HaveUnderstand the concepts of "high availability"Have experience of Big Data technologies, including setting up and running Hadoop clustersBe able to understand code written in Python or PHPHave knowledge about regular expressionsKnow what is what when it comes to hardwareExperience using GITFrench or Romanian knowledge
