: An opportunity for a Supply Chain & Quality Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the TAOPOZ Team.
Supply Chain Quality
Management plays a decisive role at Airbus; it is much more than an aviation law requirement to ensure compliance with quality requirements by our suppliers. In order to offer our customers the highest quality and provide an excellent on-time service, we demand the same from our supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for one of the most important interfaces to our integral supply chain, working in a multidisciplinary environment in close contact with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Programme lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Act as the primary operational interface with global suppliers (including multiple functions and critical sub-tiers).
- Assess supplier capacity, capability, and performance during the tendering phase and contribute to the final selection decision.
- Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, ensuring On-Time, On-Quality, and On-Cost (OToQoC) performance.
- Ensure supplier quality approval and compliance with required certifications in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Monitor new product introductions, Transfer of Work (ToW), and changes to ensure industrial qualification maturity before the serial phase.
- Identify supplier industrial risks, propose mitigation actions, and manage short‑term recovery plans or performance improvement projects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS - Education: University degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or a related discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience with a background in Procurement, Quality, Production, Engineering, or Programmes.
- Technical knowledge: Project Management skills and proficiency with standard tools related to supplier and supply chain management.
- Soft skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the capacity to work both autonomously and in networking/multicultural teams.
- Languages: Negotiation level in both English and Spanish. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally is a prerequisite for this role.
