**About the Role**
In accordance with the policies, objectives and strategies defined by the Head of Purchasing, manage the suppliers of assigned technological families, ensuring that the products are delivered on time and with adequate quality and cost. Main tasks and responsibilities: As a Junior Buyer, in the initial phase, the activities are: - Overseen by buyers, manage the supplier portfolio of current buyers (offers, price comparisons, purchasing orders and order confirmations in our ERP and in our Purchasing Web Portal). - Handle quality, delivery and accounting issues when required. - Make visits to suppliers to learn about their technologies, materials and production processes. - Collaborate with buyers in the KPI analysis and follow-up action plans and in other initiatives defined by the Manager. Once this phase is complete, a supplier portfolio will be assigned, and the second phase starts with next responsibilities: - Negotiate with suppliers, best quality, price and delivery condition for category parts assigned. - Maintain for parts and suppliers, SAP Purchasing/Vendor Master data for price and other condition. Manage RFQ and tendering process. Execute purchase order process. Supervise the backorder and missing parts reports for assigned Suppliers with provisioners, or in person when required. Solve purchasing issues on accounts payable. - Collect and analyze technical requirements for assigned category products. Identify and evaluate supplier rationalization opportunities. Analyze supplier's financial status and capacity. - According to Budget objectives, analyze monthly suppliers cost variances and propose Action Plans to mitigate deviations. - Develop and maintain a robust and sustainable, best in class Supplier Panel according to present and future business requirements. - Participate in the Supplier Homologation process and other Audit programs defined by Volpak (ISO, ECOVADIS,..). Follow up continuous Suppliers Vendor Rating process. Define action plans for critical suppliers. - Scout vendor market and new potential supply sources. Perform risk assessment activities identifying critical drivers for these suppliers according to the parameters defined by Coesia (sustainability, ethics, etc...). - Support Group activities and initiatives and cross functional improvement programs defined by Volpak or Coesia.
**What You Need to Be Successful**:
- Mandatory: University degree in Engineering. - Desired: Additional training, specialized in Purchasing preferred. - Desired: Purchasing technical knowledge in workshop processes (metalworking, milling, CNC, surface treatments, raw materials, etc ) and Commercial parts (electronic, mechanic, pneumatic, etc...) is highly appreciated. - Mandatory: 2 - 3 years’ experience. - Mandatory: English (Advanced Level) required. - Mandatory: Negotiation skills. - Mandatory: Teamwork attitude. - Mandatory: Results and problem solving oriented. - Mandatory: A person with a strong customer focus, committed to providing quality solutions while maintaining relationships with suppliers - Mandatory: Innovative mindset. - Mandatory: Proficient in Microsoft office products and preferable SAP knowledge. - Mandatory: Availability to travel worldwide when needed.
