Join to apply for the Lead Field Service Technician role at Endeavour. Inspired Infrastructure. Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Field Service Technician to join our team, focusing on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all Thermal Works equipment.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, goal oriented, with foundational knowledge in HVAC, and who has good written and verbal communication skills. The Lead Field Service Technician should be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person can work equally well independently as with a team. Thermal Works values efficiency and strives to maintain smooth operations. Our primary focus is on providing an integrated cooling system for data centers and commercial buildings that dramatically reduces the energy demand, water consumption and cost of cooling.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works' U.S. headquarters.
* Manage Preventive Maintenance and Service schedules.
* Perform on-site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
* Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients.
* Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
* Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.
* Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
* Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
* Education / Experience: Technical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems (e.g., Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Mantenimiento de Instalaciones Térmicas y de Fluidos in Spain).
* F-Gas Category I Certification (in accordance with EC Regulation No. 517/2014) is required for handling fluorinated gases.
* 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems for mission-critical infrastructure (data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities).
* Experience with chillers and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with EU safety standards, pressure equipment directives (PED), and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.
* Capable of performing diagnostics, repairs, and system optimizations in live environments.
* Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components; knowledge of hydronic systems; ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems; understanding of refrigeration theory and applied sciences.
* Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
* Fluent in English and Spanish (additional European languages are a strong plus).
* Ability to read drawings at a basic level; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
