Responsibilities
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of all services provided.
* Implement improvements in productivity to ensure tasks are done on time.
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to Maersk Customs Services.
* Ensure all customer needs are met or exceeded within our Compliance Controls.
* Attend customer complaints and requests.
* Support and help others in finding solutions to problems.
* Monitor team workload and help control the workload; highlight risks to Department Manager, including Compliance & Training Team for any requirements.
* Collate, analyze and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams.
* Ensure Operating Procedures are reviewed regularly and updated where required.
* Ensure official procedures are up to date and reflect current working practices.
* Ensure that all customs authority requirements are met or exceeded.
* Continuously identify waste in processes and deliver improvements to productivity.
* Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders.
* Support growth initiatives and actively participate in creating innovative solutions.
* Be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
* Ensure training is completed to cover all accounts.
* Proactively lead or participate in Customs related projects.
* Foster team spirit and staff engagement.
* Depose in the absence of Customs Manager/Senior Customs Manager.
We are looking for
* High English level (C1)
* Local customs authorities’ knowledge - classification, reclaim, websites
* Tariff customs systems
* Other relevant Customs System
* Other Government systems and applications (Port Health, DEFRA, etc.)
* Strong customer-facing and interaction skills with high-level customer orientation
* Supervisory/Management skills
* Team engagement and support
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all organizational levels with a focus on collaboration
* Support trainees and junior staff in their training and development, sharing knowledge with the team
