Experteer Overview In this role you will lead data governance and metadata initiatives for J&J Innovative Medicine. You will ensure R&D data across multi-omics, real world, clinical, and digital health are well-defined, high-quality, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will partner with the R&D data ecosystem to implement frameworks and maintain the enterprise data catalog. You will mentor stewardship teams and drive governance improvements with measurable data quality, enabling trusted data for audits and research.Compensaciones / Beneficios - Oversee metadata lifecycle and maintain enterprise data catalog (glossary, data dictionaries, lineage) - Document business terms, data elements, and approved definitions with Data Owners and SMEs - Index and describe critical R&D datasets, data products, and master entities - Integrate governance into R&D workflows with Knowledge Management, Data Products, and Platform teams - Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, external vendors, and DSDH to align definitions and lineage - Identify data sources and systems of record;
confirm ownership and usage context - Participate in ontology and knowledge graph initiatives to harmonize metadata with enterprise semantic frameworks - Define and maintain data governance rules and create SOPs, WIs, and SOWs - Implement automated governance monitoring, data profiling, and KPI-driven remediation - Execute R&D data governance strategy via Domain Councils, harmonizing with MDM and policy adoption - Ensure regulatory compliance (GxP, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) including PII/PHI protection and retention policies - Provide direction to stewardship teams and support POCs to quantify business value from governance improvementsResponsabilidades - Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems - 5+ years in data management, business analysis, or related field in Life Sciences or regulated industry - Familiarity with ontologies, semantic standards, and data lineage frameworks - Experience with data governance and metadata platforms and scalable governance tools - Strong leadership and communication skills - Solid understanding of DAMA-DMBOK, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and compliance - Familiarity with data governance & metadata tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, TileDb) and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) - Understanding of regulatory, privacy/security standards and FAIR data - Experience creating SOWs, SOPs, and WIs with ability to implement controls - Excellent presentation skills to communicate complex data concepts to business audiencesRequisitos principales -
