Hardware Design Engineer
The primary responsibility of this position is for HW engineering on various electronic boards and equipment developments with emphasis on aerospace applications. The major tasks are to plan, document and develop new hardware products from initial specification through prototypes to production ready.
Lead the design and development of complex electronic subsystems and components for platform architectures.Drive design reviews, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and secure on‐time, on‐budget delivery of hardware work packages.Plan and execute hardware verification and validation activities, including test strategies, test bench development, and test procedures.Support qualification, environmental testing, and compliance processes across DO‐254 and other aerospace/defense certification requirements.Identify emerging technologies and collaborate with industry partners to mature innovative electronic solutions for Mercury.Provide expert technical guidance to cross‐functional teams including systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.Influence make‐or‐buy decisions through technical assessments, cost analysis, and supplier capability reviews.Mentor junior and mid‐level engineers, fostering excellence in engineering practices, documentation, and execution.Promote continuous improvement in design methodologies, tools, and processes across the hardware engineering discipline.
