Social Media & Content Coordinator — Permanent contract / Marbella, Spain
Education, experience and skills
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field or equivalent work experience.
* At least 3 years of professional experience in a marketing role including creating content and writing for social media.
* Passion for content creation, social trends and storytelling.
* Good knowledge of Adobe, Canva and any other design tools.
* Photography and video production skills for social media.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build fruitful relationships on campus, manage various stakeholders and communicate with an international students’ body and faculty members.
* Creative and dynamic individual, with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (grammatical and lexical accuracy).
* Demonstrated collaborative skills and an ability to work well within a cross functional and multicultural team.
* Ability to work in a fast changing environment.
* Flexibility in case of campus events happening out of office hours.
Key responsibilities
* A proactive self-starter with a passion for content creation, eager to immerse themselves in vibrant campus life. Takes pride in producing high-quality work, is results-driven, collaborative, and enjoys testing and experimenting with creative ideas to improve content performance.
* Create and manage engaging content, including copywriting, photography, and video production across multiple social media channels.
* Post content directly via social media management platform, ensuring timely scheduling and publishing.
* Work on content calendar based on campus events, seasonality and trends
* Actively identify and capture compelling stories from key campus events such as graduations, student-led initiatives, open days, summer camps, and career fairs.
* Collaborate closely with the Sommet Education central Content Team to deliver content assets for emails, paid media campaigns, and other marketing initiatives they will coordinate.
* Research trends to inspire fresh content ideas and contribute to innovative social media strategies.
* Track and report KPIs for all social channels, sharing insights to continuously improve content performance.
* Liaise with faculty, staff, and students to ensure no storytelling opportunities are missed, including academic-focused projects for programmes.
* Support the daily coordination of the Student Ambassadors programme, including recruitment, project assignments (e.g., live event coverage, photography, videography), and recognition initiatives.
* Engage with ambassadors during campus activities to inspire authentic and impactful content creation.
