From Hays we are looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to support their French legal entities from Bilbao.
About the Company
Well-established multinational with over a century of history, known for its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will be responsible for the full accounting cycle of French legal entities, including:
Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records under IFRS and French GAAP.
Manage full-cycle accounting: journal entries, provisions, stock movements, loan tracking, and reconciliations.
Coordinate external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Handle VAT and tax reporting; Review and validate travel and expense claims.
6+ years of experience in accounting or audit roles
Strong knowledge of IFRS and ideally French GAAP
Proficiency in SAP and Excel; Fluent in French and English (Spanish is a plus)
