Our core areas of expertise include optics and photonics, electronic and sensor systems, precision mechanics, and AI-based data analysis, applied to microbiology, diagnostics, and quality control. We develop complete instruments that integrate hardware, software, and algorithms, both under our own brand and as an OEM partner for leading global companies.


IUL’s R&D activities cover the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to industrialization, production, and successful commercialization in global markets. Our developments are characterized by robust engineering, scientific rigor, and long-term reliability, operating in regulated environments including in vitro diagnostics (IVD) .


As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our R&D team and are looking for a highly qualified PhD-level scientist or engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation sensing, optoelectronic, and AI-enabled technologies.


Academic Background

PhD in one of the following fields:

* Physics
* Optics
* Electronics
* Telecommunications Engineering


Additional Training / Experience

Complementary studies and/or professional experience providing strong expertise in one or more of the competencies listed below.


Technical Competencies

Sensors

* Electrochemical sensors
* Photomultipliers
* Photodiodes
* Image sensors

Photonics

* Bioluminescence
* Fluorescence
* Immunochromatography
* Radiometry

Optics

* Instrumental optical systems
* Non-imaging optics

Electronics

* Signal acquisition systems
* Amperometry and potentiometry
* Analog-to-digital converters (ADC)
* Adjustment and calibration
* Low-level software for signal acquisition and processing


Regulated Environments
* Experience with sanitary devices for in vitro diagnostics (IVD) or other regulated environments is highly valued.
