We are looking for a passionate and skilled PostgreSQL/AlloyDB Database Expert to join our dynamic DevOps team. You will play a key role in delivering Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions for the Magenta TV platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.
Tech Stack & Tools:
Databases: PostgreSQL, AlloyDB
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (IAM, DMS, VPC, Monitoring & Logging)
Infrastructure: Terraform (IaC), Kubernetes
Security & Backup: Cloud-native solutions for backup, restore, and disaster recovery
Your Responsibilities:
Operation, monitoring and optimisation of PostgreSQL and AlloyDB databases
Setting up, maintaining and further developing backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies
Performance analysis, tuning and capacity planning
Automation of recurring operational and administrative tasks (e.g. monitoring, provisioning, patching)
Ensuring data integrity, security and availability
Supporting development projects in database design, query optimisation and deployment processes
Incident, problem and change management within the ITIL process
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operating manuals
Participation in on-call duty in 24/7 operation one week each one month and a half
Skill requirements:
Proven experience with PostgreSQL and AlloyDB in production environments.
Strong knowledge of Google Cloud tools and services.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud monitoring/logging.
Fluent English (minimum B1 level).
Experience working in agile and DevOps teams.
Monitoring :
Prometheus good knowledge.
Google monitoring tools, Grafana, will appreciate.
Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
