Condé Nast seeks a seasoned software engineer to join the Commercial Platform team in Madrid. The role involves developing digital ad technologies to enhance revenue, working closely with product, design, and commercial stakeholders. Our global tech team supports a network of over 200 million readers worldwide, with offices in New York, London, and Bangalore.
About Us
The Ad Tech group, within the Commercial Platform Engineering team, maintains and develops advertising capabilities using the latest JavaScript frameworks such as React, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
About The Role
As an ad tech engineer, you will develop, scale, and maintain new ad products, working on both front-end and back-end development with JavaScript, React, and GraphQL. Your responsibilities include diagramming, documenting, researching, and coding related to the delivery, rendering, and monetization of digital ads.
Required Skills and Experience
* 8+ years of software engineering experience
* Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Jest for testing
* Experience with source control tools like Git and GitHub
* Knowledge of HTML and CSS
* Understanding of Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, YAML)
* Familiarity with SQL
* Ability to own the entire development process and communicate effectively across teams
* Business proficiency in English
* Experience working with international teams across multiple time zones
* Experience with online advertising technologies (preferred)
