Job Description:
The Accounting & Reporting General Ledger team is responsible for the P&L and Balance Sheet of the assigned countries. Main tasks include: Month-end closing, Year-end closing, Balance Sheet account reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Tax, and reporting to Corporate.
1. Core Objectives:
2. Prepare journals during the month in liaison with country Business Analysts and Controllers.
3. Prepare and report P&L and Balance Sheet according to IFRS standards.
4. Analyze and comment on main variations against budget.
5. Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and follow up on open items.
6. Review accrual requests against policy and generate accruals.
7. Compile periodic reports / Management information.
8. Respond to queries from Local Management and Controllers professionally.
9. Monitor GL checklists and ensure completion.
10. Create a positive working culture within the GL team, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.
11. Propose and implement process improvements in the GL team.
12. Oversee Month-end Closing tasks, reviewing P&L and Balance Sheet.
13. Report to the SSC Accounting and Reporting Manager and SSC Manager.
Requirements:
* Background in Accounting & Finance.
* 2-3 years experience in a finance SSC GL function, Accounting Manager, or similar role.
* Knowledge of US GAAP principles.
* Experience working with a US corporate.
* Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of additional European languages (German or Dutch) is a plus.
* Proficiency in SAP and MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power BI).
