The role of the Area Sales Manager – Machine Tools will involve :
Field sales position selling a large manufactured portfolio of CNC machines, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, boring machines and fabrication machines70% of your time selling directly into mechanical engineersRemainder of time selling direct into other engineering customers, aerospace, automotive,energy sector, marine, MOD & Government facilities60% new business development role, you will be provided with target lists of customers to approach and will also follow up on plenty of leads vis the office / website40% account management of some existing customers and pipeline on the areaTypically 3.5 days per week on the road, rest of time working from home with monthly visits to the midlands based officeTaking customers to the office to show them our clients showroomThe ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Machine Tools with :
Ideally some understanding of machine tools and field sales experienceOpen to other field sales backgrounds who focus on mechanical engineersWould consider no sales experience with related industry experience, e.G. a service engineer looking for 1st field sales roleMay consider other field sales tooling experience with a strong desire to move into machine toolsTechnically capableReliable and trustworthyStrong features and benefits sales experience, must be able to negotiate and close!Excellent presentation and demonstrating skillsA practical and professional hands on competent approachExcellent organisational / territory planning skillsJ-18808-Ljbffr
