We are seeking a Finance Closing & Reporting Specialist to join the Financial Services division of Mercedes‐Benz Group. This role offers the opportunity to develop in an international environment, contribute to high‐impact projects across Europe, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is an integral part of Mercedes-Benz Group, providing private and business customers services for cars and vans in the areas of financing, leasing, and insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver financial accounting and reporting activities for assigned entities.
* Ensure timely and accurate closing and Group reporting for the assigned company(ies).
* Execute day-to-day transactional accounting activities and processes across areas including banking, intercompany, fixed assets, inventory (vehicles and parts), payroll, taxes, equity, accruals and provisions, consolidation, legal entity reporting, and business unit/product data reporting.
* Maintain the quality of financial statements through the execution of established controls.
* Perform postings and account clearings, including quality reviews of postings and period-end balances.
* Coordinate with market accounting teams to resolve issues related to daily operations and month-end close.
* Provide backup support for additional company(ies), as required.
* Analyze financial statement figures before and after submission to Headquarters.
* Create and maintain master data in relevant systems.
* Monitor and follow up on offshore activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
* Identify required process updates, communicate them to relevant stakeholders, and contribute to process documentation and knowledge exchange in line with established standards.
* Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for problem solving and escalation management with partners and responsible parties.
Qualifications:
* · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
* · Working knowledge of the IFRS framework.
* · Relevant experience in finance, accounting, or reporting roles.
* · Advanced English proficiency (C1 or equivalent).
* · Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
