At Hays Executive, we are partnering with a leading multinational automotive company to recruit a Global Procurement Project Manager. This strategic role is based in Madrid and focuses on driving global cost optimization initiatives across procurement and R&D functions.
Your Mission:
As a key player, you will lead high-impact cost reduction programs, aligning cross-functional efforts to deliver tangible savings and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Global Cost Optimization Projects: Design and execute structured cost-saving initiatives aligned with corporate objectives, ensuring robust project governance and measurable outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to identify and implement both technical and commercial improvement opportunities.
Strategic Sourcing: Manage RFI/RFQ processes across markets, assessing suppliers and alternative solutions in close collaboration with engineering teams.
Facilitate Workshops & Risk Reviews: Organize technical workshops and roadblock resolution meetings to ensure feasibility, mitigate risks, and maintain project timelines.
BOM & Production Alignment: Serve as the key interface between engineering and manufacturing for Bill of Materials (BOM) updates and production feasibility assessments.
Executive Reporting: Present project progress, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize data analytics, technical insights, and supplier partnerships to enhance product value and streamline procurement processes.
Your Profile:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 6–8 years in project management, procurement, R&D, or manufacturing—ideally within the automotive or industrial sectors.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of product development, sourcing strategies, and manufacturing workflows.
Global Sourcing Expertise: Experience managing BOMs, negotiating with suppliers, and executing sourcing strategies across markets.
Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
