The Transportation Manager is responsible for enhancing customer service by achieving operational excellence in transport activities while balancing costs and service quality. This role involves directing and overseeing tasks within our AFEMEA transport organization, managing the efficiency of the supply chain, customer service, 4PL, and procurement functions. The manager reports to the Logistics & CoE Director of AFEMEA and is a member of the AFEMEA SC Management Team.
Key collaborations include Manufacturing, Customer Service, 4PL, and Procurement teams.
Main Responsibilities
* Strengthen customer service by improving logistics performance.
* Manage internal and external logistics operations.
* Handle business escalations, providing visibility and resolution actions to stakeholders.
* Lead service meetings, ensuring they are action-oriented and efficient.
* Support BU SC Managers with escalations, network changes, and issue resolution.
* Assist 4PL in managing AFEMEA logistics topics and report/link to Amcor.
* Participate in transport tenders alongside procurement, representing Supply Chain.
* Drive post-go-live support for new logistics setups.
* Represent Supply Chain in monthly performance reviews and QBRs with carriers and 4PLs.
* Standardize and simplify processes, identifying and rolling out best practices.
* Prepare detailed logistics performance reports on service and costs.
* Monitor transport performance, collaborating on improvement plans.
* Track ongoing projects and benefits realization, presenting findings to management.
* Motivate and lead logistics teams at sites, implementing AFEMEA processes.
* Develop Logistics SMEs within the AFEMEA network.
* Collaborate on cross-functional supply improvement projects.

* Improve customer satisfaction through better on-time delivery (OTD).
* Reduce logistics costs and optimize delivery times.
* Enhance information sharing and decrease overdue actions.
* Manage conflicts effectively.
* Build partnerships across functions and support continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications / Requirements
* University degree in Business, Logistics, Science, or related fields.
* 10+ years in Supply Chain operations, including 5+ in logistics roles.
* Strong change management, analytical, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with information tools.
