Game Path is working with a creative and ambitious mobile game studio crafting visually striking RPG experiences for players around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Environment Artist to help build immersive worlds that players will explore and remember.
The role is permanent and remote (working within a European time zone).
Key Responsibilities
* Design, model, texture, and populate rich 3D environments using Unity, optimising for mobile performance across iOS/Android.
* Create modular assets (terrain, foliage, buildings, props) that support RPG world-building and level design.
* Collaborate with lighting artists, VFX, and designers to establish atmosphere, mood, and gameplay flow in environments.
* Prototype environments rapidly, iterate based on art direction, technical constraints, and player feedback.
* Maintain environment pipelines, documentation, and asset libraries for team efficiency.
Requirements
* 4+ years Environment Artist experience on shipped mobile titles, with strong Unity expertise
* Proven track record delivering high-performance environments for mobile
* Strong portfolio showcasing RPG/sci-fi environments optimised for mobile.
* Proficiency in tools like Blender/Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, and Photoshop for asset creation.
* Experience with PBR workflows, LOD creation, and baking lightmaps for mobile platforms.
* Ability to work independently remotely with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Located in Europe time zone (CET/CEST preferred) for optimal team sync.
Nice-to-Haves
* Experience with sci-fi themed games or cinematic environments
* Familiarity with procedural generation tools (Houdini, SpeedTree) for environment variety.
* Understanding of RPG world progression and how environments support exploration/narrative.
* Knowledge of Unity's HDRP/URP for mobile and environment-specific shaders.
