Summary:
The Maintenance Superintendent leads all maintenance operations at our Toledo facility. This role ensures equipment reliability, reduces downtime, and manages maintenance costs. You will support production goals through high-quality repair and maintenance services, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include equipment management, contractor oversight, vendor and spare parts management, budgeting, and team development.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors comply with ADM safety policies and procedures
2. Set goals and expectations for the maintenance team to achieve performance excellence
3. Support production departments in safety, quality, and audit compliance
4. Align and execute ADM’s Maintenance and Reliability strategy
5. Oversee preventive maintenance and reliability activities
6. Manage the maintenance budget and control monthly repair and maintenance spending
7. Lead root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
8. Track and analyze maintenance metrics to improve performance
9. Train production staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
10. Maintain an organized storeroom and inventory of spare parts
11. Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions
12. Manage maintenance records using CMMS and ensure accurate documentation
13. Lead maintenance projects focused on asset reliability and defect elimination
14. Support team development through training, feedback, and coaching
Position Qualifications:
15. Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or related field
16. Electrical and mechanical knowledge required
17. Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes
18. Strong background in maintenance management or supervision, preferably in food, feed, or chemical production environments
19. Knowledge of asset management techniques and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office
20. Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills
21. Strong communication and leadership abilities
22. Familiarity with machinery, instrumentation, and electrical systems
Physical Requirements:
23. Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and work at heights
24. Work indoors and outdoors year-round, occasionally in dusty, noisy, or hazardous environments

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$58,100.00 - $108,000.00
Salaried Incentive Plan
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
