**Transport Engineer**

Do you like moving large pieces of equipment? Finding solutions for lifting heavy loads? Finding alternative solutions to complex situations for cost effective transportation of equipment? This is what a Siemens Energy Transport Engineer will perform for all Business areas of Siemens Energy. We are looking or a Transport Engineer to join our team to support our Logistics group with customer proposals and execution projects. 
**How You’ll Make an Impact** 
- Responsible for planning and implementing project-specific heavy lift/oversized cargo transport/assembly/disassembly concepts for all Siemens Energy and Siemens Energy supplier product in accordance with project requirements 
- Integral part of the project proposal efforts supporting solutions-based transport plans to obtain the best cost and least risk to the project. 
- Reviews utilization of Siemens Energy owned transport assets vs. outsourced transport assets 
- Provide transport engineering support, review, release of methods statements for all transport heavy hauls or heavy lift operations. 
- Work with and support all requirements imposed by local and country authorities, technology, infrastructure and environment to insure EHS requirements, 
- Manage project interfaces (plant layout, civil engineering, etc.), to ensure trouble-free, accident-free and on-schedule transport lifting/rigging operations as well as surveying of those operations according to the method statements (as part of the surveyor pool) 
- The transport engineer inspects locations of movement (plants, ports, lay-down-area), takes measurements, reviews and approves drawings, releases method statements (which care for safety and risk-mitigation), issues technical specifications, coordinates interfaces with the project, the field, others, etc... 
- Support in evaluation of quality, claims, training of new colleagues, improvement and communicate with projects, field-managers, insurers, agents. 
- Support both new units and service projects 
**What You Bring** 
- Transport Engineering or Heavy Lift Engineering experience 
- BS in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 
- Creativity; finding cost effective solutions 
- Leadership; creating solutions for complex transport moves/lifts with an emphasis on risk 
- Teamwork: be a part of a well working team to accomplish goals 
- At times, work independently as needed 
- Language; English. 
- Domestic and international travel required
