Purpose of the Role
As Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will lead all Canadian regulatory compliance efforts for BV (Canada) Limited. The role reports to the Director of Regulatory Compliance and collaborates across multiple teams within the Regulated Canada region.
Your responsibilities include ensuring that BV (Canada)’s business and products meet all regulatory obligations, staying abreast of legislative changes, and presenting commercial opportunities to the Group when appropriate. You will proactively drive and ensure delivery of the group’s continuous compliance efforts and regulatory projects.
Key Responsibilities

* Ensure business compliance with all relevant regulatory codes, licence requirements and legislation.
* Monitor and review developments within the regulatory environment, identify development needs, and communicate and implement requirements in a timely manner.
* Document regulatory requirements and manage projects that affect licence integrity (e.g., changes in technical standards, new advertising restrictions), ensuring alignment within project teams.
* Serve as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies and competent authorities (i‑GO, AGCO, AiGC, AGLC), responding to queries and providing accurate submissions.
* Project‑lead and manage external and internal regulatory audits and compliance reviews.
* Develop internal processes in accordance with regulation and identify areas of compliance improvement.
* Respond to regulatory consultations and steering group requests to promote legislation aligned with BVGroup’s business strategy.
* Establish internal processes, KPIs, dip‑sampling and verification of customer‑facing products and marketing to maintain compliance.
Skills & Experience
*
* Strong experience in regulatory compliance with a proven track record working with gaming companies and regulatory authorities.
* Ability to understand and interpret primary and secondary legislation and its impact on the industry.
* Comprehensive understanding of AML, SG, DP, and other corporate and compliance rules.
* Relevant legal, internal audit or compliance qualifications; ICA certificate/diploma (or equivalent) is an advantage.
* Foundation knowledge of business information systems and internet technology as it applies to online gaming.
* Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
* Capacity to adapt rapidly to changes in environment and priorities.
* A self‑driven, curious character eager to make an impact and roll up sleeves where needed.
