Responsibilities
* Support, review and provide constructability feedback on the completion of engineering specifications for construction and supply contracts for assigned projects.
* Review construction schedules that incorporate information from system design and engineering, plan to accomplish project goals and lead the project teams, external contractors, supply chain, and reporting to project management and company management. Perform critical path management.
* Maintain familiarity with contracts and documents to ensure that work is executed in accordance with the company’s expectations and that the work fulfills contractual requirements.
* Develop effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, engineers, landowners, consultants, local authorities, and team members.
* Plan daily construction, pre‑start and work orders for the project.
* Monitor and oversee civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work at the project site to ensure it meets contractual obligations.
* Ensure projects are built according to plans created and submitted as well as to their standards.
* Review all contractors’ QA plans, PPIs & procedures and bring all plans into conformance with project requirements, supported by the project team.
* Review plans and procedures periodically and institute changes if necessary.
* Review projects on a day‑to‑day basis against the progress milestones.
* Perform regular inspections and meetings to review site conditions, discuss and define areas of responsibility, clarify all issues and to ensure accurate scheduling of project‑related activities.
* Represent the company onsite during all equipment deliveries.
* Conduct audits of site conditions and equipment installation of subcontractors on the site.
* Perform audits of the jobsites to verify accurate completion of scope of work, supported by the Quality and Compliance Engineer. Document and communicate all discrepancies.
* Always work safely, adhere to all applicable safety policies, and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
* Take initiative and control to protect the interests of the company and our customers.
* Apply knowledge of technical competency in electrical, civil, and mechanical applications.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in the construction of overhead and underground lines and substations from 66 to 400 kV.
* Minimum technical electrical education, preferably a BSc.
* Native Spanish; English is a plus.
* Spanish working permit.
