Job description:Reporting directly to the
Local Finance Director
and working closely with industrial, supply chain, and central finance teams, the
Industrial Cost Controller
plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of production costs, analyzing variances, supporting financial closing, and contributing to strategic industrial projects.This role is essential to secure reliable financial information, optimize production performance, and support the growth of the company’s manufacturing operations.
Main Responsibilities1. Industrial Cost ControllingEnsure the accuracy and integrity of production data in the ERP (stock movements, work order closing, labor allocation).Calculate monthly actual production costs per SKU and analyze variances (yield, price, efficiency) versus standards using KPIs, purchasing data, and labor hours.Ensure proper stock valuation and propose optimization actions.Calculate cost structures for new products and support economic analysis with Industrial, Marketing, and Sales teams.Prepare industrial costing for the annual budget, ensuring consistency and reliability of assumptions.
2. Accounting & P&L AnalysisSupport the monthly closing process with the Local Finance Director and accounting team: provisions, validations, and data checks.Build the analytical P&L for the company, separating production vs. distribution activities, and analyze variances versus budget.Monitor fixed costs and identify improvement opportunities.Build the analytical P&L for the budget cycle and propose challenges to optimize profitability.Track CAPEX execution and financial impact.
3. Projects & Operational SupportConduct financial analysis for new industrial projects and investment decisions.Participate in the implementation of industrial KPIs and translate them into financial impact.Support operational teams in transversal projects (S&OP process, ERP improvements, continuous improvement).Act as a key user and reference for BI and ERP systems, ensuring proper usage and data reliability.Maintain communication with central finance teams, consolidating reporting and sharing insights.
Requirements
Experience5+ years of experience in industrial controlling or financial controlling within manufacturing environments.Proven experience with production costing, variance analysis, and budgeting.Experience in food manufacturing, pharma, chemical, or similar industrial sectors is a strong plus.
EducationDegree in
Engineering
or
Finance
(Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, etc.).
LanguagesFluency in
English
and/or
French .Spanish: native or bilingual.
Technical SkillsStrong Excel expertise;
experience with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Navision, etc.).Knowledge of BI tools such as
Power BI .Solid understanding of industrial processes, costing methodologies, and financial analysis.Experience in CAPEX follow-up and P&L construction
