Job Description:
Food Service Associate VITo interact with patients and patient care staff to deliver high quality food & service for patients and guests at Bay Area Hospital.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiently operates Palm Pilot, calculator, computer, telephone, printer, copy machine, and fax machine
- Understands different types and degrees of diet therapy
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
- Able to read, write legibly, and converse in the English language
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Must have or be able to obtain an Oregon Food Handler or Food Manager Certification or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Oregon State Drivers license preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Dietary Management Class certification or one (1) year experience working with diet therapy.
- Computer / keyboard/typing experience
- Previous participation in nutrition classes/education
