Saas account executive - weather

:

As an Account Executive in our weather division, you will be the strategic owner of client accounts in the energy, renewables and event sectors. You will ensure long-term success, partnerships and revenue growth. You will serve as a consultative advisor, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the account through cross-selling and upselling. You are expected to identify opportunities within existing accounts to ensure DTN’s solutions continue to meet evolving customer needs.
Key Responsibilities: Account Ownership & Relationship Management

1. Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant

2. Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and business objectives 

3. Build strong, meaningful Territory & Account Plans

4. Provide proactive recommendations, introducing new solutions that add value and drive engagement 

5. Have a deep understanding of weather

6. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering top-notch service and innovative solutions 

Sales Growth, Cross-Selling & Upselling

7. Identify need to bring in additional DTN expertise and solution engineer resources to for ongoing account expansion. 

8. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to expand account value 

9. Conduct regular business reviews with clients to uncover unmet needs 

10. Strategically introduce new products, services, and solutions that align with client goals 

11. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimise client offerings 

12. Negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold, ensuring continued success and profitability 

Hunt for Additional Opportunities

13. Continuously analyse accounts for new business opportunities, leveraging industry insights and customer feedback 

14. Identify potential referrals, partnerships, and expansions within existing accounts 

15. Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend solutions that differentiate DTN 

Qualifications & Skills

16. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Sales preferred; or equivalent experience 

17. 5 years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales 

18. 5+ years of experience in account management, consultative sales, or B2B client relations 

19. Strong understanding of either the Energy, Utilities, Renewable and event industries

20. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills 

21. Proven ability to drive revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling 

22. Self-motivated, with a strategic mindset and proactive approach to account management 

23. Proficiency in SFDC for tracking leads and managing pipelines 

24. A consultative and professional approach to engaging with customers 

25. Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances 

26. Additional language skills would be an advantage (German, Spanish, Dutch)

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between £67,500 and £90,000 GBP, for Spain €52,500 and €70,000, For Ireland €58000, and €77,000 For Netherland € 6,000 and €75,000. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity, and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
