We are recruiting a Business Expansion/Development Manager for our client, a well-established European FinTech, with a proven business model in multiple markets and a growing footprint in Spain. The company is dedicated to empowering small businesses with adaptable financing solutions, leveraging a unique, patented credit scoring tool and predictive analytics for swift financing decisions.\n
They are currently scaling their commercial team to accelerate market penetration in Spain and are looking for dynamic business developers with at least 2-3 years of proven experience in selling financing solutions to SMEs and micro companies who want to develop their careers in a performance-driven environment. This is a high-impact commercial role offering full ownership of the sales cycle and the opportunity to develop into a top-performing business developer within a structured environment.

The company operates through a fully digital, in-house developed lending platform, recognized for its performance and innovation, enabling fast and efficient financing processes for SMEs.

Unlike traditional relationship management, this role is explicitly designed for a “hunter” profile : a proactive deal-maker who thrives on identifying unmet liquidity needs, navigating B2B sales cycles and translating complex financial solutions into clear value propositions for business owners and CFOs.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
A. Origination & Business Development \n
● Proactive Prospecting: Execute high-volume, targeted outbound activities (cold calling, LinkedIn, email cadences) to identify and qualify SME prospect clients.
\n
● Pipeline Velocity: Manage the end-to-end sales funnel, taking raw leads and converting them into active financing applications.
\n
● Network Expansion: Build and leverage an ecosystem of financial intermediaries, brokers and B2B partners to generate inbound referral traffic.
\n
● Value-Based Selling: Conduct deep-dive discovery calls to understand the prospect's cash conversion cycle and position our financing platform as a superior alternative to traditional banking.
\n
B. Credit Structuring & Deal Execution
\n
● Financial Data Gathering: Secure all required compliance and financial documentation to be uploaded by clients directly through the platform.
\n
● Credit Committee Representation: Act as the internal sponsor for the deal: synthesize the client's financial health and prepare and present financing applications to the Credit Risk Committee.
\n
● Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risk events early in the underwriting process and proactively propose structuring alternatives (e.g. specific debtor limits, varied pricing tiers) to secure approval.
\n
C. Early-Stage Portfolio Activation
\n
● Seamless Onboarding: Guide the newly acquired client through their first platform interactions, ensuring a frictionless transition from \"Approved Facility\" to \"First Invoice Funded.\"
\n
● Wallet Share Maximization: During the first 6–12 months, actively monitor the client's operational volume to encourage full utilization of their approved credit limits.
\n
3. PERFORMANCE METRICS
\n
Success in this role will be measured through a data-driven approach, tracked via HubSpot:
\n
- Origination Volume: Total € volume of new credit facilities approved per quarter.
- Activation Rate: Number of net-new SME clients successfully onboarded and funded per month.
- Sales Cycle Length: Average time from First Contact to First Funded Invoice .
- Conversion Efficiency: Win rate percentage (Lead-to-Deal conversion ratio).

4. CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

A. Professional Experience
\n
● Core Background: at least 2-3 years of proven B2B Commercial Sales experience within the broader financial sector.
\n
● Target Industries: Backgrounds in Traditional Banking, FinTechs, Financial Consulting, Credit Insurance or Financial Brokerage are highly preferred.
\n
● Audience Expertise: A demonstrable track record of successfully interacting with, and selling to, SME owners, C-Level executives, and Finance Directors.
\n
● Bonus Points: Previous tenure at a top-tier national bank or a leading alternative finance provider, specifically selling Working Capital Financing (Factoring/Confirming).
