We are looking for a
Pre-Commissioning Engineer
to support a major energy infrastructure project in the Netherlands. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all activities required before commissioning and initial plant start-up.
The successful candidate will work closely with
engineering, construction, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations teams
to ensure that all systems, equipment, and components meet technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and update the
Pre-Commissioning Execution Plan
Define procedures, checklists, and inspection protocols
Coordinate activities with contractors, suppliers, engineering, and commissioning teams
Supervise
mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation inspections
Oversee
flushing, chemical cleaning, line blowing, hydraulic testing, energisation, and functional tests
Verify readiness of systems including
HVAC, electrical, safety, pumping, cooling, and radiation protection systems
Prepare
risk assessments, PTW documentation, and hazard analyses
Update
as-built documentation
and support handover to commissioning
Report deviations and support technical resolution of issues
Transfer systems to commissioning after
Mechanical Completion (MC)
Requirements
Degree in
Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear Engineering, or similar
7 ears of experience xpzdshu
in
pre-commissioning or industrial commissioning
Experience in
nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, or other critical industrial plants
is highly valued
Nuclear project experience such as
ITER or similar
is a strong advantage, but not essential
Strong knowledge of
mechanical completion, hydraulic testing, flushing, control systems, instrumentation, protections, and rotating equipment
Willingness to relocate to the
Netherlands for a long-term project
