As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting‐edge medical devices, focusing on advanced medical electronic systems and the Falcon product.
Main Responsibilities
Development of medical device electronic circuits that are part of an implantable neurostimulation system.
Architect technical concepts and assess technical feasibility.
Translate system requirements and user needs into electronic subsystem and interface requirements.
Perform functional analysis and create system designs that meet the requirements.
Develop medical devices according to applicable standards.
Manage external partners in the outsourced design, assembly, verification and validation of electronic systems.
Support integration and process development related to electronics integration into the neurostimulation system.
Define test strategies to verify electronic systems against product and manufacturing requirements.
Lead the development of test systems for verification and manufacturing tests.
Apply risk management and perform DFMEA on designs.
Initiate and lead design reviews, technical reviews, and milestone reviews.
Lead and participate in system integration, verification, and validation.
Understand and apply DFR/DFM/DFT in concept engineering, modelling, analysis, sensitivity, and statistical analysis.
Qualifications and Soft Skills
BSc or MSc in Electronics Engineering.
At least 6 years of work experience in a relevant medical device development environment.
Experienced in electronics and PCB design according to IPC standards.
Experienced in the full development cycle of a medical device including design, manufacturing, verification, and validation.
System‐thinking attitude, identify areas of potential improvement and develop plans to address these.
Team‐oriented and a sparring partner to colleagues in other disciplines.
Experienced with electronic simulation and design methodologies and tools (e.g., Spice, Altium, etc.).
Solid understanding of medical risk analysis and FMEA.
Experienced in managing development outsourced to subcontractors for design, manufacturing, and integration.
Experienced in verification test design and execution including statistical analysis.
Solid understanding of medical device development standards and experience in applying IEC‐60601‐1 and IEC‐60601‐2.
English fluency required. Spanish fluency is a plus.
Team player, strategic thinker.
Nice to Have
Experience in electronics design for active medical implantable devices according to ISO 14708.
Familiarity with design and verification according to the standards for active implantable medical devices.
Experience in design and testing for MRI compatibility.
Experience in wireless communication and wireless charging.
Familiarity with medical device design from mechanical and software perspective.
Experience in neuroscience with a strong interest in gaining further understanding.
