We are seeking an ML Ops Engineer to join a pharma sector project team within our Enterprise AI Products and Technology Team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience delivering large-scale Machine Learning or Data Science projects.
You will work with multidisciplinary engineers and data science teams to develop tools, standards, and automate tasks throughout the machine learning product lifecycle. A key part of your role will be enhancing platform capabilities to support data scientists' workflows. Our data science initiatives include clinical trial data analysis, knowledge graph analytics, patient safety systems, deep learning-driven drug discovery, and medical device software.
As an ML Ops engineer, you should have a software engineering mindset focused on automation and agility, with the ability to improve data science workflows.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to understand challenges and develop supporting tools and platforms.
* Participating in a high-performing agile team to improve ML development environments, platforms, and tooling.
* Working with governance and compliance teams such as Cyber Security and Data Privacy to secure systems without hindering productivity.
* Adapting machine learning methods to leverage modern parallel computing environments.
* Promoting a "production first" mindset to scale research to production seamlessly.
Required experience includes:
* Degree in Computer Science or related field (BSc/MSc/Ph.D).
* Experience in software engineering and automation with DevOps.
* Proven track record in deploying production-grade ML products or related software engineering domains.
* At least 3 years of experience with Python; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
* Knowledge of container orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Argo, Kubeflow) or willingness to learn.
* Experience with Infrastructure of Code for deploying ML/Data Science infrastructure at scale.
* Experience working in Agile teams and with security standards.
