Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented professional to take on the role of
General Site Manager
for the execution of large-scale offshore wind projects (up to 2GW), under
FIDIC
contract frameworks. The ideal candidate is an expert in
HVDC systems
, with proven experience in the comprehensive management of both onshore and offshore construction works. This role reports directly to the Project General Manager and is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of strategic renewable generation and transmission infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities in accordance with the FIDIC contractual framework.Coordinate execution works on offshore platforms, substations, marine structures, and HVDC/AC cable installations.Supervise main contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary technical teams.Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.Monitor physical progress on-site, manage deviations, and lead the technical closure (as-built documentation, punch lists, quality deliverables).Guarantee technical execution in line with international regulations (IEC, ISO, and offshore wind-specific standards).Collaborate closely with commissioning and start-up teams.Provide regular updates to project management through executive reporting and follow-up meetings.Proactively resolve technical and contractual issues, maintaining operational continuity of the project.
Profile Requirements (M/F/D):
University degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial).Over 10 years of experience leading construction works in the energy sector, particularly in offshore wind and HVDC transmission.Expertise in HVDC systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning experience.Strong experience in construction management under FIDIC contracts.In-depth knowledge of offshore structures, marine substations, and international technical standards.Strong leadership, decision-making, and multidisciplinary team management skills.Fluent English (mandatory);
additional languages such as Dutch or German are a plus.Availability for fieldwork, including offshore rotations if applicable.
