Are you looking for an innovative and well‑established company where you can grow professionally? GMV is a technology group with extensive experience. We are expanding our teams in the Defence sector to tackle high‑impact projects in the development of advanced navigation solutions for manned and unmanned aerial platforms (UAV/UAS), in demanding R&D&I environments that include GNSS‑denied scenarios and operations in degraded environments. We’ll get to the point; we’ll tell you what’s not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV website.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the design, development and integration of high‑performance autonomous navigation systems. Your work will have a direct impact on the operational capability of aeronautical platforms in environments where GNSS signal availability cannot be guaranteed.
*
* Architecture and integration of hybrid navigation systems, combining GNSS receivers, inertial measurement units (IMUs), optical sensors and other onboard sensors into robust, fault‑tolerant solutions.
* Diagnosis and optimisation of navigation performance, identifying error sources, inertial drift and precision degradation, and proposing algorithmic or hardware/software integration solutions.
* Implementation and tuning of state estimation algorithms, primarily Extended Kalman Filters (EKF) and variants (UKF, factor graph), aimed at sensor fusion in real‑time‑constrained aeronautical embedded systems.
* Active participation in validation and verification campaigns: laboratory testing, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) environments and flight trials, including post‑processed analysis of navigation data and accuracy metrics.
You will work closely with embedded software, algorithm and hardware teams on the integration of avionics subsystems under demanding aeronautical standards.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for Aeronautical Engineers, or professionals from related disciplines such as Telecommunications, Electronics or Automation, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering, inertial navigation or algorithm development for embedded systems, preferably in the aerospace, robotics or defence sectors.
*
* Design and integration of inertial/GNSS navigation systems, including loosely‑coupled and tightly‑coupled architectures, and fault mode management.
* In‑depth understanding and tuning of state estimation algorithms, especially EKF and its variants, with the ability to analyse convergence, stability and dynamic model linearisation.
* Integration and characterisation of sensors (IMUs, GNSS receivers, monocular/stereo cameras, LiDAR) both on test benches and on real platforms.
* Participation in complete validation cycles, from the definition of test cases through to the analysis of results in HIL environments and field tests under real operational conditions.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
*
* Hybrid working model and 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside your usual geographical area.
* Flexible start and finish times, and intensive working hours Fridays and in summer.
* Personalized career plan development, training and language learning support.
* National and international mobility. Do you come from another country? We can offer you a relocation package.
* Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation and discount on brands.
* Wellbeing program: Health, dental and accident insurance; free fruit and coffee, physical, mental and financial health training, and much more!
