Job Description:
SEK International School Catalunya needs to incorporate a Biology Teacher Substitution for 28 of August 2025.
Mission:
Empowering students to become inquirers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of biology, life processes, natural phenomena, environmental dynamics, and effective communication strategies.
Functions:
* Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
* Develop and implement teaching plans for the subject, and other areas within the department.
* Take part in standardizing assessment tasks.
* Contribute to curriculum research and improvement.
* Stay updated on the IB program guides taught.
Requirements:
* Degree in Biology or Natural Sciences
* Teaching experience, preferably in IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of Biology and Geology
* Native speaker level of English
* Microsoft Office user and experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics.
* Experience with educational laboratory practices to enhance classroom dynamics and promote ths scientific method
