Pastry Chef
at Roka, desserts are the perfect finale to an extraordinary dining experience, and you’ll play a vital role in crafting these masterpieces. Your expertise, creativity, and leadership will ensure the highest standards of quality while inspiring junior team members to grow and excel.
Roka is a contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant, celebrated for its dynamic open-grill cooking and vibrant atmosphere.Located in the Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, along the Balearic Island’s east coast, Roka Mallorca offers diners a seasonal, alfresco pop-up of lazy summer evenings, beautiful dishes, creative cocktails, and live DJs. Local ingredients are featured in Roka’s signature robatayaki cuisine to create a menu that can’t be experienced anywhere else.
Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:
Maintain sufficient mise en place levels to ensure smooth service flow, while focusing on minimizing waste
Monitor the quality, consistency, appearance, and taste of all pastry products, delivering perfection in every dish
Conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas, ensuring compliance with Roka’s cleanliness and safety standards
Maintain high personal hygiene and appearance standards
Coach and mentor Pastry Commis Chefs, helping them develop their skills and align with Roka’s high standards of quality and consistency
