We are looking for a Medium Database Administrator to join our team.
Requirements:
Minimum Technical Requirements:
* Proven experience (more than 2 years) as a database server platform/environment administrator for Oracle.
* Proven experience (more than 2 years) as a database server platform/environment administrator for MS SQL.
* Proven experience (more than 1 year) as a database server platform/environment administrator for PostgreSQL.
* Knowledge of scripting (Ansible, Terraform, etc.) and provisioning.
* Extensive experience in backup/disaster recovery and troubleshooting.
* Implementation of security policies.
* Experience with high availability (HA) platforms.
* Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
* Experience with application servers (WebLogic, JBoss, IIS, Tomcat, etc.).
* Advanced experience in automation/orchestration.
* Networking knowledge:
VPN configuration/design, firewalls, routing, DNS.
* Use of ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
Tasks:
* General platform management:
incidents, requests, changes, problems, and root cause analysis (RCA).
* Direct communication with end clients as required.
* On-call phone support.
* Collaboration in platform improvement plans.
* Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
* Daily/weekly verification of SQL and Oracle job statuses.
* Daily review of database statuses.
* Verification of storage availability and space for database-related disks (excluding C and quorum drives).
* Review of SQL and Oracle server error logs.
