The co‐founders bring decades of insurance expertise, previously having founded and been first employee/CTO at wefox.As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll architect the systems powering our AI‐driven platform, directly transforming how insurance professionals operate. Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for AI agent orchestration and real‐time data processing.Take full ownership in building new AI agents that take over back‐office work on behalf of the broker.Performance Optimization : Tackle complex challenges in data integration, workflow automation, and system reliability.Champion "radical candor" in code reviews and team discussions to elevate technical quality.5+ years building backend systems in NodeJS & TypeScript .Expertise in cloud‐native architectures (AWS/Azure) & Docker.Strong automatic testing & quality assurance (SDET) mindset.Proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL) and distributed systems.Experience in Kubernetes & infrastructure and infrastructure‐as‐code (Terraform) is a plus.Experience with AI/ML pipelines (model deployment, MLOps) is a strong plus.Cultural Fit:You thrive in a high‐performance team that debates ideas fiercely but unites behind decisions.you will be able to use agentic development tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot.Barcelona Metropolitan Area (remote options available within EU).
