Our client is a well-established manufacturer of complete packaging systems, from standard bottles, jars and closures to custom packaging solutions and specialized parts.
As part of their European growth strategy, they are expanding their sales team with this new appointment. The role will ensure consistent growth in sales by identifying opportunities, developing sales strategies and action plans.
Responsibilities & Key Tasks:
Proactively develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers to drive revenue growth
Identify and secure new business opportunities through structured planning, outreach, and pipeline management
Engage potential customers via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings to understand needs and present tailored solutions
Conduct customer visits to assess requirements, promote products/services, and strengthen long-term partnerships
Perform cost–benefit and commercial viability analyses for both existing and prospective accounts
Resolve customer issues effectively by identifying root causes, implementing solutions, and providing feedback to management
Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales targets within defined timelines
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure aligned and effective sales delivery
Provide regular market and customer insights, including needs, trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities
Recommend improvements to products, services, and commercial strategies based on performance analysis and market feedback
Monitor competitor activity, including pricing, product developments, and go-to-market strategies
Support pricing strategy, quotations, promotions, and commercial negotiations
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective and existing clients
Manage the full sales cycle, including order processing, contract preparation, and payment follow-up
Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, and credit terms

Ensure full compliance with company policies and relevant quality, environmental, and safety standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IFS)
Key skills:
The ideal candidate will need to have experience in either PET Packaging (Bottles, Containers, Jars and Caps) or Plastic Packaging
Adaptable and collaborative
A hunter personality, independent and highly motivated
Good communication skills both written and orally
Excellent at prospecting (cold calling and e-mailing)
Computer literate, with knowledge of current operating systems and software
