As a bike mechanic and logistics operator at Swapfiets you are an essential part of the growth and continuity of Swapfiets. In this role you will repair all of our pedal and e-bikes without supervision. You are the expert in making sure our bikes are roadworthy and safe. Besides being an expert in repairing bikes, stock management and safety, you are also the one who ensures that our bicycles are delivered according to the Swapfiets standard. Overview and safety are your top priorities.
How you pedal us forward!
You will be responsible for repairing our pedal bikes and our E-bikes with no supervision needed;
You manage the logistics and deliveries of the (E-)Bikes between the warehouse and the store locations, including loading and unloading of (E-)Bikes from trucks.
Preparation of spare parts including unpacking/checking parts deliveries, and taking care of spare parts for retail stores and fleet.
You will ensure the Bikes' product and repair data is properly captured and up to date in repair database;
You will be handling special case repairs (in use, double frame numbers, founds, missings, special brokens that require documentation for insurance/police);
You will organize broken inflow and pre-organizing of the bikes (Triage);
We will make sure that you learn how to work in a safe way (safety is everyone's responsibility).
The gear you need!
Driver’s licence B that is valid in the EU;
You have the necessary documentation to work in Spain (such as a valid DNI/NIE and Social Security number).
You have driving experience in a van and are a good driver;
You have elementary knowledge about e-bikes and pedal bikes (cars or anything related can also be of help);
You have an affinity with cycling, mobility, sustainability and service;
Available to work full time (40 hours per week on weekdays);
You’re able to work from El Prat de Llobregat, where our warehouse is located (industrial estate Mas Blau);
Understand and speak Spanish and (a basic level of) English;
Whether working independently or as part of a team, you always work successfully!;
