Job Title: Network Engineer / Product Manager Connectivity
Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Network Engineer / Product Manager Connectivity to join the international CONNECTIVITY Team. This role involves technology development, integration testing and deployment, and lifecycle management, with a focus on delivering customer-focused connectivity solutions.
Information Management (IM) delivers the expertise, technology and equipment for Airbus Space and Aerospace products. IM is transforming to multi-functional, agile teams working with the business and developing digital capabilities.

This position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain the lifecycle of the Network Products (LAN, WAN, Firewall, Encryption, DDI, Proxy, etc.).
* Manage improvements, updates, changes and obsolescence of products.
* Maintain Product strategies to improve efficiency, quality and productivity.
* Design and develop state-of-the-art network services.
* Ensure compliance with all legal and IM security regulations in coordination with the Chief Information Security Officer.
* Maintain the infrastructure in operational condition in line with OLA/SLAs.
* Manage the economic aspects of the product (e.G., budget planning).
* Maintain ITIL-based support processes including incident, problem, change, configuration, and event management.
* Contribute to analysis of console messages, diagnose system failures and take corrective action;
escalate to other technical teams and vendors as needed.
* Supervise system backup processing and lead disaster recovery tests;
identify and implement technologies and processes that improve reliability, efficiency and availability of the systems environment.
It is your obligation to create the best end-customer experience possible, set direction for new technologies, and consider Airbus internal and external conditions within this service. The role also requires strong process, project management, and communication abilities.
You will work closely with Project/Program managers, Service Owners, external service providers, Airbus Security and other IT teams to keep the current service infrastructure running, improve it with innovative capabilities, and manage operational issues quickly and professionally.
You will need to be a creative thinker able to propose and support new ways to increase overall service quality. Other responsibilities include supporting digitalization and innovation projects/programs.
Skills required:
* Educated to an Engineering Master or Bachelor degree, preferably in IT or Telecommunications or related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in Network - WAN (BGP, OSPF and routing protocols, QoS, Routers, VRFs, etc.).
* Strong experience in Cisco devices (routing and switching) and/or Network and security management platforms.
* Network certifications will be a plus.
* Encryption experience will be a plus (encryption protocols: HTTPS, IPsec;
crypto boxes from manufacturers such as Compumatica, Genua, Ciscom).
* English: negotiation level;
Spanish: mandatory.
* Multidisciplinary profile willing to take multiple challenges.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
