Globachem helps farmers and horticulturists protect their crops through an extensive range of out-of-patent and internally developed plant protection products, contributing to safe food production with the lowest possible carbon footprint. We have an excellent reputation with our customers and employees. To support our growth, we are now looking for a Business Developer Innovations for South-Europe.
Responsibilities
* You are responsible for the development and the commercialization of Globachem's own innovative crop protection products in the different South-European countries.
* You provide market insights, map competition and competing products.
* Together with the responsible sales manager, you select the distribution partners and set pricing.
* You lead pre-launch initiatives and support distributors to ensure successful product introductions through demo trials, technical training and presentations.
* You build and maintain a solid network of distributors, CROs, advisors and industry influencers.
* You coordinate annual trial plans to meet regulatory, crop safety, compatibility and sales requirements.
* You represent Globachem at local congresses and symposiums.
* You work closely with colleagues from Sales & Marketing, and across other departments such as R&D, Product Development, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
* You are part of the Sales & Marketing department and report to the Project Accelerator Innovations at our Headquarters in Belgium.
Qualifications
* You have a degree in Agronomy, Bio-engineering or any related field.
* You have at least 7 years of experience in a technical-commercial role in crop protection and experience in launching new products.
* You have good knowledge of perennial crops (fruit, citrus, olives).
* You are fluent in Spanish or Italian (native level) and English. Other languages are a plus.
* You are based in the South of Europe (Spain, Italy, ...) and are flexible to travel frequently to other South European countries or to the headquarters in Belgium.
* You are a strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills and a strategic/commercial approach to managing projects.
* You are a team player with a growth mindset.
