THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Field Technical Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) team you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on the use of the Abbott EP portfolio within the assigned territory.
Position: Field Technical Engineer - Galicia.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide technical support to Sales Rep. and Customers relating to Abbott Medical products, to provide assistance with education wet labs for physicians, and to ensure that all EMEAC current Business Ethics Regulatory and Quality procedures are followed.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support of equipment and assistance over the whole national territory to physicians.
- Support physicians during the enrolment and follow-up phase of clinical studies and collaborate with the Therapy Marketing Group in those studies.
- Perform product presentations.
- Provide support to Sales Team.
- Analyze competitors devices and maintain updated marketing database.
- Perform training concerning the use of new products.
- Ensure all Abbott Medical standing Quality Procedures are followed.
- Provide market information to Sales Department.
- Produce monthly reports on personal activities.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner and with the highest integrity.
- Maintain business operations in accordance with corporate policies with respect to pricing quotes, credit terms and expense reporting.
- Proactively plan weekly travel schedule and communicate this through the appropriate channels in your country/division.
- Keep immediate manager informed of business progress activities.
- Assist manager to build the yearly operating plan.
- Give support to other areas if necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. degree preferably in Sciences / BS in (Medical) Engineering (Biomedical Engineer - Preferred).
- Ideally 2 years of experience in electrophysiology clinical experience or in an equivalent role within industry.
- Familiarity with catheter lab and operating room procedures and protocol, strong cardiac anatomy & physiology knowledge preferred.
- Strong communicator with active listening skills and questioning technique.
- Ability to work autonomously, adapt work schedule to procedures duration, and cope with irregular/uneven work days. Driving license.
- Fluent in English B2-C1 (mandatory).
