Key responsibilities
As a Carrier Manager – Ocean Freight, you will:
* Collaborate with LLP Operations, Planning, central PCM teams, and the customer to identify and secure the most suitable, cost-effective transportation providers across countries, regions, and lanes.
* Take ownership of carrier account performance — track KPIs, report accurately, and support the development of effective corrective action plans when needed.
* Ensure regular KPI reporting to carriers and lead the carrier partnership review process.
* Identify and onboard new carriers to ensure capacity, cost competitiveness, and service quality.
* Ensure all carriers go through the LLP approval process and meet 100% of compliance requirements, including Quality, Security, Operational, and Corporate compliance, in line with contractual obligations.
* Monitor carrier performance against service agreements and recommend replacements if needed.
* Own and continuously improve the carrier strategy — short-, medium-, and long-term — aligned with procurement initiatives.
Requirements
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* Diploma or Certificate in Logistics or Freight Forwarding
* Proven experience in Supplier/Carrier Management, including evaluation and negotiation of maritime service providers
* Minimum 5 years of management experience in logistics, preferably in multimodal transport (Courier, Road, Air & Sea), and freight forwarding
* Minimum 3 years of specific experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding, including acquisition, rate negotiation, and knowledge of market trends
* Experience with Carrier Performance evaluation, including KPIs and reporting metrics
* Strong customer relationship managementand senior account managementskills
