Radio Systems Engineer – Getafe (Madrid)
Airbus Defence and Space SAU is looking for a Radio Systems Engineer to join the Radio Systems Department in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will work on the integration of radio systems in the MRTT platform and support a portfolio of military aircraft platforms including C295, EF2000, A400M, ED, and SIRTAP.
Responsibilities
Radio system integration in MRTT platform.
Involvement in other Airbus DS Military Aircraft platforms (C295, EF2000, A400M, ED, SIRTAP).
Allocate aircraft requirements to a Communications System.
Define the architecture and specifications of the Communications system.
Elaborate engineering design documentation.
Responsible for Communications system design, integration, qualification and certification.
Support feasibility studies for new products/user needs.
Supplier technical management.
Support the whole design process including design review meetings.
Support meetings with end customer.
Support Certification and Qualification process.
Support Technical Publications (AFM, FCOM, etc.).
Support transversal areas such as Services, Production, Procurement, etc.
Support test campaign sequencing, test procedures & facilities.
Monitor and support tests and perform real‐time analysis of test results.
Contribute to R&T programs related to SDR/SCA Radios.
Keep up to date with international regulations: ICAO, FAA, EASA, EUROCONTROL, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
Telecommunications Engineering degree or similar.
3 years of experience in systems engineering or development of avionics systems.
Good knowledge of Communication Functions in other platforms.
Background knowledge: Inmarsat/Iridium Satcom, Radios (V/UHF, VHF, HF), Civil Datalink (FANS, CPDLC).
International project experience.
Strong English and Spanish skills.
Good communication skills and proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to work under strict timescales as part of an integrated and multifunctional team.
Assertiveness.
