MacGregor Black is partnering with a premium nursery and consumer products brand to recruit an International Sales Account Manager. This is a permanent role with a strong international remit, offering the opportunity to drive commercial growth across high-potential global markets.
As International Sales Account Manager, you will take ownership of managing and growing a portfolio of international retail accounts while identifying and unlocking new growth opportunities across both e-commerce and traditional retail channels. Your territories will include Scandinavia, Iberia, Italy, Greece, the Middle East and Rest of World.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively follow-through and close sales according to the sales plan and deliver on key revenue targets short-, mid- and long-term
* Provide and maintain structured joint business plans that will stimulate growth and brand exposure alongside the company’s strategic plan
* Monitor sales at retail for each account and closely collaborate with the accounts to implement corrective action plans if necessary
* Focus on E-Commerce account and distributor development alongside supporting traditional B&M retail
* Work with the Sales Director Europe to prepare a forecast, by item, for each account, and maintain the forecast throughout the year, continually monitoring the achievement of sales goals and proactively develop corrective action plans if necessary
* Close liaison with customer services and accounts teams on order book management and credit risks
* Actively participate in market research and share insights with the cross-functional global teams, gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of the market, customers and competitors
* Manage the execution of new product initiatives and/or core product improvements from inception to market launch
* Prepare, participate, document and follow-up meetings
* Attend company sales meetings and shows as required
What We’re Looking For:
* Sales experience, preferably in the nursery and/or toy industry or FMCG
* Know-how in doing business with online retailers
* Proven track record in building strong relationships with retail accounts
* Proven success in sales with an international company
* Commercial know-how
* Market knowledge, i.e. formal knowledge of targeted distribution and product categories
* Advanced MS office skills
* Fluent English and Spanish
* Knowledge of FOB business would be a bonus
* Entrepreneurial spirit and strong commercial acumen
* Well-developed sales, communication, negotiation, planning and adminstration skills
* Excellent proactive planning skills
* Ability to close a deal effectively and do what is best for the business
* Passion for growing existing business and finding new opportunities
* Ability to travel – region-wide
