Job Description: ENGINEERING MANAGER (She/He) – ROUSSELOT GELATIN

Your mission
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Engineering function and oversee a team of Engineers. You will be responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing the site’s investment projects, ensuring technical viability, budget control, timing, and safety compliance in close collaboration with Operations, Finance, and HSE teams.
Main responsibilities
·Lead and supervise the Engineering team, allocating projects and providing technical support.
·Manage the annual investment program: from project justification and business case preparation to execution and final reporting.
·Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects (mechanical, electrical, civil, utilities) from concept to commissioning.
·Ensure proper project documentation and scope definition: drawings, 3D/BIM models, diagrams, user requirements, HAZOP studies, permits, technical validations.
·Coordinate installation, commissioning, testing, and validation phases while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and legal requirements.
·Contribute to the plant’s long-term Master Plan and support asset capitalization processes with the Finance team.
·Act as technical expert and liaison for project-related issues and change management (MOC).
·Actively participate in improvement initiatives and cross-functional technical problem-solving.
Required profile
Education & background
· Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar disciplines (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical).
·Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering or industrial project management, ideally in a multinational environment.
Technical knowledge
·Strong expertise in mechanical systems, industrial installation, process engineering, automation, instrumentation, electrical systems, fluid handling, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
·Familiarity with construction permits and legal compliance for industrial facilities.
·Proficiency in project management tools and design software: AutoCAD, MS Project, Autodesk Fusion 360 .
·Solid understanding of project lifecycle and investment processes in a multinational environment.
Languages
· Fluent English (C1), equivalent to First Certificate or Advanced level.
·You provide clear direction, manage the engineering team, and lead the execution of the plant’s technical strategy — while also taking ownership of key projects directly when required.
·You are comfortable working both at a strategic level and in day-to-day project execution, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and technical requirements are met.
·You combine sound decision-making with strong organizational skills and a results-driven mindset.
·You communicate effectively across functions and build productive relationships with stakeholders.
·You maintain a hands-on approach, uphold high standards in safety and quality, and proactively solve technical or operational challenges.
