In this role you lead the energy and utilities package for a Madrid data center project, guiding HV/MV design, permitting, and construction. You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and utilities to meet timelines and energization plans, while supporting strategy and business development. This is a high-impact position at Ferrovial Digital Infrastructure, blending technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable, sustainable data-center infrastructure. • Act as the energy and utilities project lead from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with goals and objectives
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to align scope, objectives, and design
• Develop and execute management plans including resources, cost estimation, scheduling, and quality control
• Supervise design and construction of power and utilities infrastructure with timely, budget-aligned delivery
• Hold regular progress meetings and maintain status reports on milestones, challenges and progress
• Support and manage complex cross-functional HV infrastructure projects from site selection through permitting and contract execution
• Drive timely decisions, identify blockers, and escalate as needed
• Negotiate with general contractors, evaluate bids, and participate in pricing reviews for scope and cost management
• Evaluate site due diligences, track schedules and resolve factors impacting permits and hand-over
• Analyse deliverables from all parties to ensure requirements are met and raise queries when needed
• Monitor progress and performance to ensure tasks are completed on deadlines
• Prepare detailed reports to inform decision-making and share findings with the team
• Collaborate with other Ferrovial teams and ensure adherence to Ferrovial guidelines, standards and policies
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related field; master’s is an advantage
• Advance knowledge of high and medium voltage electrical systems
• Strong understanding of the Spanish Electric System and capacity to work with other countries
• At least 3 years of experience with DSOs, TSPs, suppliers and utilities xpzdshu
• Experience in transmission/distribution planning, analysis and design
• Experience designing, permitting and constructing HV/MW substations and underground power lines
• Understanding of power and utilities operating models and related challenges
• Experience with data center clients is valued
• Ability to analyze complex situations and develop actionable plans
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
• Experience in fast-paced, high-stakes environments
