In Europe, A&M has strengthened its presence in Financial Restructuring, Corporate Transformation, and Insolvency by recruiting high-profile teams at Managing Director / Partner level. Our Restructuring group is expanding rapidly across Europe and beyond, generating substantial work. We are now seeking a Madrid-based Director to focus on Operational Restructuring & Turnaround and to contribute to our practice in Spain.

Stakeholder Reporting on Cost-saving Initiatives
The ideal candidate will be able to identify client needs, build trust, and be recognized as the lead for value on engagements. They should develop a credible network of contacts and referrals within the industry.
Key requirements include:
Extensive experience in Company-side Restructuring
Ability to build 13-week cash flow forecasts
Strong understanding of liquidity management and risk impact
Financial expertise, including P&L and asset efficiency improvements
Knowledge of Insolvency regimes and Labour negotiations (useful but not mandatory)
The candidate should be a business-savvy, outcome-focused entrepreneur, capable of addressing critical issues swiftly and challenging the status quo. They should possess:
Experience with 'Big 4' or leading advisory firms in turnaround projects
Recognized accountancy qualification or strong financial analysis skills
Fluency in Spanish and English; additional European languages are a plus
Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and valuation methods
Experience managing complex projects and stakeholders
A desire to expand their skill set and knowledge of restructuring services
Experience working with operational and finance teams in distressed organizations
