Heedly is a fast-growing marketing agency helping veterinary clinics across the UK grow their client base and improve retention. We take a data-driven and return on investment approach with every client — tracking what's working, measuring outcomes, and making decisions based on real performance data. Now we want to take that further: building a suite of our own scaleable products that give vet clinic owners great ROI and a simple format to monitor their business performance and provide recommendations. Using technology and data for improving vet practice performance will open up new opportunities for the industry.
We currently work with 9 vet practices and have a sharp understanding of their needs and what the market is missing. It's now time to build products that fit the opportunities in a scaleable way. This is a business in acceleration, and the person we hire will be central to how fast that happens.
The role
This is a co-founder level position. Although we have a pipeline of products our clients are requesting you'll also be helping to build the business roadmap. You'll own all technical decision-making, working directly with the founder on product strategy, and will be the driving force behind a suite of data and web products for the veterinary industry.
We want someone with ambition, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to move fast without cutting corners. You'll have real autonomy from day one, and your decisions will have a direct and visible impact on the business.
What you'll work on
AI-powered websites for vet clinics — Design and build high-quality, AI-assisted websites that are a core revenue driver for Heedly. You'll shape the product architecture and delivery process end-to-end.
Data products and business intelligence — Lead the development of a suite of KPI dashboards and BI tools tailored to vet clinic owners. This includes a partnership with an established data provider in the veterinary industry — you'll review their existing infrastructure and build collaboratively on top of it.
Email and marketing automation — Work closely with our email specialist to build comprehensive, personalised automation workflows that drive client retention for vet clinics at scale.
Product roadmap ownership — Be proactive about identifying, scoping, and prioritising new product opportunities in the veterinary space. We're looking for someone who brings ideas, not just execution.
Industry awareness — Stay on top of emerging technology and opportunities specific to the veterinary industry and bring those insights into how we build and position our products.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience at CTO or senior engineering level
* Comfortable making independent tech stack decisions
* Experience building web products
* Comfortable integrating AI into workflows
* Strong grasp of data architecture and BI tooling
* Ability to review and work with third-party APIs and existing codebases (including .NET environments)
* Entrepreneurial mindset — you see problems as product opportunities
* Excellent communicator, especially in a remote-first setup
* Fluent English; comfortable working across UK and global markets
