**About the position**:
The QA Reliability Engineer at Abbott is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products within the Diabetes division, focusing on mobile apps. This role involves developing and optimizing manual and automated tests, conducting thorough testing processes, and collaborating with team members to enhance automation practices. The position is integral to maintaining compliance with medical industry standards while driving innovation in diabetes management technologies.
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyze and aggregate complaint trends and analytics data points to develop theories on technical root cause for issues.
- Monitor analytics and error reporting systems to triage and investigate developing on market issues.
- Monitor social media channels and tech forums, including Apple and Google updates to provide technical assistance to changes affecting ADC mobile apps.
- Provide feedback to software development team for additional telemetry events that will aid future analytics and monitoring investigations.
- Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes.
- Perform root cause analysis for the software development lifecycle from issues that were discovered on market
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements to software development process incorporating issues that have been identified.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
- 5 years’ experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
**Nice-to-haves**:
- Medical Device experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in an agile development environment preferred.
- Experience with embedded systems and integration testing with external systems preferred
