**About the role**
**Carrier **is looking for a a highly motivated **Senior Internal Controller** to deliver key Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance.
As **Senior Internal Controller** your main goals will be to deliver the Business Unit financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, manage and develop team members and support the Business Unit Finance Leadership. **Reporting to HVAC Europe Internal Controls Sr. Manager**, you will provide support **to HVAC Europe entities** and be expected to **work with local entity controllers**. This role will be a key addition to the team to **standardize HVAC EMEA CoE** for Internal Controls.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
- ** University Degree** in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar field
- ** 5 - 7 years** of relevant experience **finance / controlling / auditing** functions in **multinational environments**:
- Familiarity with **IRFS** and **US GAAP**:
- Knowledge of **SOX** act and processes
- Good command of **ERPs**, preferably **SAP4**:
- Strong **communication **and interpersonal **skills**, empathy and patience
- ** Teamwork** and **leadership** skills
- Good **planning**, time management and **prioritization** skills
- Fluent speaking and writing in **English** and **Spanish** is required (minimum B2)

Responsibilities**
As a **Senior Internal Controller,** you’ll be responsible for leading team to support the HVAC Internal controls, delivering the actual US GAAP financial results, establishing, and executing accounting and control objectives, overseeing control activities and reporting, owning the balance sheet analysis and analytics, and overseeing third-party activities to include reconciliations and general accounting activities.
- Owning the full control environment for SOX reportable entities within EMEA region and perform SOX testing.
- Providing support to regional controller on management of controls dashboard, working with BU Controllers on timely completion of SOX issues and deficiencies.
- Leading ERP implementation and co-ordination with external auditors for ERP Exit criteria.
- Overseeing accounting and controls aspects of process transformation.
- Performing gap assessment, updating process narratives, risk assessments, DOA matrix maintenance.
- Streamlining and sgtandardizing internal controls processes within region.
- Supporting on review of system access and SOD conflicts
- Providing guidance, training on internal controls and policies.
- Performing balance sheet reviews for HVAC control environments.
- Engaging in complex accounting activities to provide guidance and correct reporting requirements, acting as a key business partner to Business Unit Leadership
